Hi. :]

I know I went missing for a little while here.

I went missing from my life, too.
Not literally. But figuratively.

And I'm still 170-171. It's gross.
I'm going to try to make some changes. And get my damn act together.
It would be a lot easier, had my mother actually bought what I wanted from the grocery store.

I want to try a 72-hour fast. I know I probably won't make it through two... But I want to try. Starting at midnight tonight. Or is it tomorrow morning, since it's 12 A.M.?

So I'm going to write my plan all out, and bring my notebook so I can go somewhere and do something at lunch that doesn't involve the cafeteria or food.

My fall play is this week, and I'm so nervous.
But next week, I get to see my favorite cousin AND go to the post-Thanksgiving camp party!
But first I have to get through fucking Thanksgiving.
It'll be slightly easier this year since I won't be eating turkey (currently three months meat-free! I had a slip-up in late August...), but that leaves... Oh. Carbs, carbs, and more carbs.
Pass.
Maybe since we won't have guests, I can just convince my parents to let me eat on my own.
Not likely.
And they'll assume something is wrong if I don't eat mashed potatoes...
Stomach virus? Definitely possibility. But it has to be one of those less than 24-hour ones, because I still want to go to the party the next day.
Any other suggestions for the terrifying Thanksgiving dilemma?

Thank you to Dreams.and.Bones, Lost In Space, liz, Lucidity, and Blossom =) for commenting such lovely, nice things on my last post. I love you guys. <3

I have eleven fucking days until this party.
Eleven FUCKING days.
I need to lose something serious.

  1. Don't worry about going missing from time to time. I do it too. Sometimes things just fall to shit and everything seems to fall away.

Also good luck on your fast!

  2. I think you can do a 72 hour fast. It's only a couple days, and I've heard that after the first 3 days, your hunger just kind of goes away.

So you might even be able to make it longer. The first few days are supposed to be the hardest, and I can vouch for that... I've never made it past 2 days lol.

You can go to this website allaboutfasting.com
    I swear by it lol

It has so much information about fasting and which are the easiest ones, and the most effective.

you might try checking it out. It's helped me a ton.

Stay strong, lovely =] I know you can do this!

  3. say you feel really really ill and sick to the stomach but you just couldn't BARE to miss thanksgiving dinner. that way your parents will expect you to eat little and when they do they'll be thankful because they think you're going through pain to be a part of the celebration :)
    stay strong xx

  4. oooh good luck with the fast, i'm in the middle of an informal one now too :) as for thanksgiving, maybe you could just take small portions, take a couple bites and mix up the rest so it looks like you ate? i'm dreading thanksgiving too :( not much to be thankful for...

  6. Yes change can do you good. I wish you all the best in sticking to your plan. This week can be Sticking-To-The-Plan Week. I'm in LOL. Hey, even if you last 5 mins, at least you tried. Believe in yourself because you CAN do it. You've proven it before, you can do it again :) Congrats on the 3 month mark! That's great. Keep it up :) It definitely does help with rejecting food. As for the dilemma: eat but eat little. If they notice, use the upset stomach routine. Good luck sweetie! <3

  7. Thanksgiving is always rough. I despise holidays where my family does nothing but eat, sleep, wake up and eat again. But I've been a vegetarian for quite a few years now and my advice would be to make something you'd want to eat :) maybe some nice low-cal soup? Or a veggie stirfry? For the longest time my grandmother would make some sort of pasta dish for me because obviously if I don't eat meat I need SOMETHING to fatten me up right? But then I just told her quite politely that id prefer something else and she's always very understanding and accommodating. So make your dish and maybe even prepare it with ur mom or whoever does the cooking so you can "bond" over it and maybe even make enough to share with everyone. then fill most of your plate with your lovely low-cal vegetarian food and take a small serving of potatoes/whatever else you'd like. But the trick is to have a full plate, at least in my family anyway.

If you'd like some other ideas on what to make, let me know! I'm sure we can come up with something ;)

And by the way, congrats on 3 months meat-free! That's awesome =)
